THOMÉ STUDIO IS A BROOKLYN-BASED KNITWEAR DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIO THAT STARTED IN PARIS IN 2020.
DESIGN STUDIO
I work with a handful of small to mid-size brands at a time, so knitwear stops being the stressful part. From creative direction through pre-production, I hold the full process - hands-on, personal, and focused - which means fewer clients, more collaboration, and better results.
I work with emerging brands building knitwear for the first time, small to mid-size teams growing an existing knit category, and founders and designers looking for a thoughtful partner in the process.
From first sketch to final sample, I'm with you the whole way.
I grew up in a Brazilian immigrant household in South Florida, where making things - and caring about how they're made - was just part of life. That never left me, and it's why I care as much about the people I work with as the pieces we make.
I trained in New York, Paris, and the UK, with a BFA from FIT and a Master's from Nottingham Trent, and I've spent years developing knitwear for brands like Mirth, Gunther, Urban Outfitters, and Fang NYC - for retail, runway, and everything in between. I speak English, Portuguese, and French, which tends to make working across factories and countries a lot smoother.
But what clients tell me isn't about the résumé. It's that working with me feels calm. I hold every detail so they don't have to - from first sketch to factory-ready - so they can trust it's handled and focus on their brand. That's the part I'm proudest of.
I'M AMANDA - A KNITWEAR DESIGNER WHO KEEPS EVERY DETAIL HANDLED.

THOUGHTS FROM CLIENTS & COMMUNITY
WAYS TO WORK
TOGETHER
Wherever you are with knitwear - just an idea, one project, or a whole category to run - there's a way to hand it off and stop carrying it yourself.
Below are the three ways to work with me. Not sure which fits? Tell me where you're at and I'll help you choose.
STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT SESSION
A focused working session to get you clear before you spend time, budget, or energy on development - so you move forward knowing it's the right call, not guessing.
-
You’re considering adding or expanding knitwear
You have ideas but not a clear plan yet
You want expert direction before investing in samples
-
A clear development direction
A written strategic summary
Priorities and next steps you can act on
FULL PACKAGE DEVELOPMENT
A structured, start-to-finish process that takes a defined set of styles from idea to factory-ready - handled end to end, so you get a clean, professional build without managing it yourself.
-
You have a specific project to develop
You want a clean, professional delivery
You’re not looking for ongoing support, just a complete build
-
Full creative + technical development
Sampling and fit guidance
Production-ready handoff files
ONGOING DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP
A long-term partnership where I run knitwear as your brand's department - strategy, development, and execution, season after season - so it's simply always handled.
-
Knitwear is a core or growing category for your brand
You want continuity across seasons
You want a long-term partner, not one-off projects
-
Ongoing strategic + technical support
Faster, smoother development cycles
A coherent knitwear category over time
Every project is a little different.
Let’s talk about what you need and what makes sense for your timeline and budget.
